1982年7月25日生まれ。海に囲まれた街で育つ。
カメラ好きの父の影響で写真や映像に興味を持ち、幼少期から朝日が昇る様子を微速度撮影して家で見るのを楽しみとしていた。
日本映画の撮影技術を助監督として学ぶ。 その後、映像監督、カメラマンとして活動を開始。
自然映像やドキュメンタリー映像、広告映像、CM、音楽ライブ、野外フェスティバル等の 様々な映像作品、TV番組を制作。
2012年、パプアニューギニア政府観光局の公式映像の監督に就任。
国連世界観光機関(UNWTO)によりパプアニューギニアを代表する映像として 監督作「Last Frontier – Papua New Guinea」が選出される。
2015年、Apple ワールドギャラリーに作品が採用され
「Shot on iPhone6 by Yasunori I.」として iPhone6 のグローバルCM となり、
ACC(全日本 CM 放送連盟)より「ACCゴールド」及び 個人賞として撮影部門最高賞である「撮影賞」を受賞。※TOKYO CREATIVITY AWARDS
マリアナ政府観光局の公式映像の監督を務めサイパンなどの北マリアナ諸島全体及び 各島々のプロモーション映像を多数公開。
その後、現在に至るまで様々なグローバルブランドの映像を手がける。
Born: July 25th, 1982.
Influenced by his father’s love for cameras, his interest for photography and videography began at an early age. Growing up in a town by the sea, he enjoyed recording the rising of the sun in time-lapse motion and watching it at home as a boy.
In year 2000, he moved to Tokyo to pursue his directing career and started working as an assistant director.
In 2004, he commences his career as a director and a cinematographer.
As a director, his work ranged from the nature variety to live concert broadcasts , as well as music events.
In 2014, with underwater photographer Hajime Ishikawa, he starts his nature and wildlife videography project ‘LAST FRONTIER’. A project to capture the beauties of earth that remain as is from long ago, from the world undersea and wild animals, to sunset, dawn, and stars in the sky.
The national tourism video created for Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority becomes the country’s official video under United Nations World Tourism Organization.
In 2015, the sunrise footage taken in time-lapse was selected into Apple World Gallery and became the worldwide iPhone6 commercial, ‘Shot on iPhone6 by Yasunori I.’.
The iPhone6 commercial received the Gold award and the ‘Best cinematographer’ award at the 55th ACC CM Festival.
